Joanne BellFounder & CEO
Joanne started her career working in Human Resources and transitioned to a position with an employment service, recruiting candidates for permanent placements at companies.
After two years, she approached one of her previous employers with the idea for him to open an employment service that she would manage. Instead, he gave her a loan and office space in the basement of one of his buildings, which became the first home and start of BeginRight Employment Services.
Now, 30 plus years later, Joanne can be found at her own corporate office building, arriving early to work, full of energy, greeting staff members and planning what’s next for BeginRight!
She enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren and traveling with her husband and friends.
Tyson was raised in Sandy, Oregon and graduated with a BA from Oregon State University in 2003.
During high school and college years, Tyson would work short term jobs through BeginRight at various clients, which gave him experience from the client’s perspective, and also as a contract employee.
After graduating, Tyson was offered a position to work as a sales rep for a national beverage firm on the East Coast. However, he was approached by his Mom, Joanne, about the opportunity of working for Beginright. He accepted and that was the beginning of a family owned business!
During Tyson’s tenure, BeginRight has posted outstanding growth and continues to grow under his leadership. Tyson has overall P & L responsibilities for the business and works closely with CEO/Joanne to set the strategic direction for all branch locations and vision for the company.
Tyson enjoys golfing, traveling and spending free time with his wife and two daughters.
Cindy WilkersonVice President
Cindy has been with BeginRight since the beginning. She started as the receptionist and quickly moved into service and sales. Cindy is currently a VicePresident and works closely with both the sales and service teams at the local branches. Cindy has forged lifelong friendships with clients over the years.
As a Portland area native, Cindy is knowledgeable of the local job market and the cultures of the different industries. “Watching the company grow and being part of this successful local business, makes for a very rewarding career.”
Cindy believes in “work hard, play hard”. On the weekends, you can find her listening to live music, hiking the trails or relaxing with a fine glass of Pinot Noir. She enjoys time spent with family and traveling to sunny and warm destinations.
Brian BixbyDirector of Operations
Born and raised in Montana, Brian moved to Portland in the year 2000, after graduating from the University of Montana with a degree in Psychology and a desire to work in an industry where he could help people. That same year, Brian was hired, by BeginRight, as a Service Coordinator, where he recruited, interviewed and placed people into jobs.
Over the years, Brian learned the business of staffing and worked his way up to Senior Service Coordinator, Payroll and Invoicing Specialist, and finally to his current position, Director of Operations. Brian works closely with Joanne to make sure all of BeginRight’s financials are in order, coordinates and tracks health benefits for contingent employees, and oversees all IT services within the company.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys his time at home with his family and 2 boxer pups. You can also find him out in the great outdoors of the Pacific NW, hiking, biking, and snowboarding.
